Renting camping equipment from Peace Vans is as easy as the following 5 steps:

  1. Car camping? Backpacking? Headed to The Gorge or similar? Browse our package options.

  2. Click the “Book Now” button on the package page you want to rent.

  3. Finish up the reservation process, make your deposit and add in any extras you want.

  4. Come by our very convenient SODO location and we will load your stuff up for you! Or, if you can’t make it to our headquarters, we offer gear delivery in Seattle city limits for a flat one time fee!

  5. When you’re trip is over, simply drop off the gear (we also offer gear retrieval service) and we take care of everything else!

Some Fine Print

Along with your invoice, you will also receive an electronic copy of our contract to sign. You can read through that in depth, but the key points are:

  • Booking Policy: We require a 50% deposit at the time of your reservation. This is fully refundable up to 30 days before your pick up date less a fee equal to 10% of your total rental cost. If you must cancel with less than 15 days before your pick up date, we can not refund anything but are happy to keep a credit on file for up to 1 year

  • Pick Up and Drop Off Times: Pick up as early as 10AM and drop off as late as 7PM. Just give us a heads up. If you are returning late, there is a good chance we will ask you to an unassisted drop off

  • Security Deposit. We do require a $400 security deposit on all rentals. We typically refund this in less than 5 business days after you return. We rarely keep a portion of this, but when we do it is if there is obvious neglect, intentional damage or lost/missing items of meaningful value (while we hope you don’t lose a fork, we aren’t going to charge you $2 for it).

  • Equipment Failure: Your equipment should not fail. But if it does, let us know! We’ll work with you to make your experience as simple as possible.
